Genesis 28:18-19
18So early in the morning Jacob took the stone that he had put under his head and set it up afor a pillar band poured oil on the top of it. 19He called the name of that place cBethel, ▼▼ Bethel means the house of God
but the name of the city was Luz at the first. Genesis 35:20
20and Jacob set up a pillar over her tomb. It is ethe pillar of Rachel’s tomb, which is there to this day.Exodus 17:15
15And Moses fbuilt an altar and called the name of it, The Lord Is My Banner,1 Samuel 7:12
12Then Samuel gtook a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen ▼▼Hebrew; Septuagint, Syriac Jeshanah
and called its name Ebenezer; ▼▼ Ebenezer means stone of help
for he said, “Till now the Lord has helped us.”
